Have you ever cried in front of people and been so embarrassed, because they have seen you. Well imagine if you cried and it wasn’t salt water running down your cheeks, it was blood. Calvino Inman has this condition where when his eyes start to water or if he feels tears coming on, he sheds bloody tears. It happens spontaneous, three to several times a day, maybe lasting a few minutes or up to an hour. Anyone who hasn’t seen him cry would just think he is an average fifteen year old that lives in Tennessee.He has gone to many doctors and specialist, but they all say they have never seen anything like it. He has had no diagnosis or treatment even though he has had MRI’s, CAT scans, and ultra sounds done, and they have all came back normal. He is probably dealing with a lot, and his friends don’t help by making fun of him or calling him possessed. Even if someone had as rare of condition as he does, I would never make fun of them. His mother is willing to go or do anything just so they can help his son. I take things for granted sometimes but every time I see someone that has taken on challenges like this I thank God for the many blessings he has given me.I hope people can find a cure for this rare disease and for the many other challenging diseases that people have to live with. It has to be hard living with conditions like that, and having people you thought were your friends, put you down. This why I really considered being a doctor when I was younger, because I wanted to help people like this.
