Aprproximatley two thirds of the population of nine million jews who had lived in Europe before the Halocaust died
Some say that the definition of the holocause should also include the Nazis killing of millions of people in other groups from Germany and other occumpied territory
By this definition, the total number of Holocause victims would be between 11-17 million people.
