Herbert Hoover was the president during the depression and many people did not like him they thought he didn’t care and didn’t help during the depression.

Fireside chat- where Roosevelt spoke over the radio. He was the first president to do that.

FDIC- benefited the banks. Insured peoples money in the banks. Today its up to $200,000.

NIRA– out to help the common worker. Garenteed them 40 hours a week. Blue eagle code- ensure they treated their workers fairly. If one restraunt had a blue eagle and another didn’t you would prolly go to the one with the blue eagle code because it showed they treated there workers right.

Charles Coughlin- said the new deal was bad and criticized Roosevelt. Saying he wasn’t doing enough to help the poor.
