Bay of Pigs
An attempt for the U.S. to over throw Castro. The Cubans go in and try to over throw Castro. They were all captured or killed. We eventually traded baby food to get them back. We did not give them air support when we should have. They were very upset with us.
Berlin Wall-
They put I wall up because people wanted freedom. It made them look bad and the bad guy.
Red Scare-
A scare of Communism. A lot of information came out of the soviet Union during this time about spies and Julius Rosenberg. The Iron Curtain speech also scared people.
HuHc vs. Hollywood-
Soviet Union first Atomic Test-
Chinese Civil War- The communist won
Alien Act of 1940- Made it illegal to advocate the overthrow o the U.S. government. Requirement all non-citizen adult residents to register with the governemnt
