The New Deal was proposed by President Roseevelt, and was much of a reform program for America. It lasted from 1933 to 1936. Many believe that the "New Deal was unconstitutional, but it had a great effect on the impact of the economy becoming good again, though WW2 made a bigger impact. This just leads up to a positive. The New Deal helped the industry of banks, manufacturing, farming, and railroad. They fed money into these industries, gave them tax breaks, and helped them invest into more and make profit, while benefiting the economy. Also, There were many government programs made, such as Social Security,Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation, , the Federal Crop Insurance Corporation, and the Federal Housing Administration. All of these government programs helped the industry and the people.Other Government economy reform plans were cutting government employees and pensions made to veterans by fifteen percent. This saved the government 500 million dollars a year, which 500 million is almost 1.5 billion today. Also, Rosevelt denied the bounus to give WW1 vetrans more money for the compensations. Also, the passing of making it legal to produce and manufacture alcohol again, just nine days after Rosevelt came to office. This realeased alot of stress on people. In my opinion, the New Deal helped the economy, and gave it a boost to be strong in WW2, which WW2 left off where the New Deal started, making it good for the economy during the war. Also, the New Deal led to non prohibition, which was a major turning point of Americans most favorite pastimes, to enjoy alcohol.Sources:http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/New_deal#Economy_Acthttp://memory.loc.gov/learn//features/timeline/depwwii/newdeal/newdeal.html
