One of the main causes of World War 1 was imperialism. Another couple of reasons were militarism and nationalism, which was national insults.One of the main reasons that Germany lost the war was because they were surronded by opposing countries which happended to be allied with one another. Alliances were a good thing to have during the war. You had another country, or a couple, to have your back and even out the power in order to defeat the enemy.Archduke Franz Ferdinand was the Austria Hungry ruler. He was assassinated by Gavrilo Princip. He did not act alone, he was part of a conspiracy called the Black hand. Princip was a teenager at the time, and was the oen who eventually pulled the trigger. Since he was under age, he could not be put to death. "The Spark the egnited the Powderkeg" was the assassination of Arch Duke Franz Ferdinand.In the war they used trenches. There were Three main types; Front Line, Support, and Reserve. They used them to get lower to avoid gunshots and to avoid getting hit. The militaries also lived, slept, and ate in the trenches.
