World war one was the first modern war. There were planes, machine guns, rifles, gas.Key to why Germany lost is because we were in it and they were fighting a two side war so they had to split their army. Reasons why there was war is nationalism Hitler thought Germany was the best. Imperialism many were colonizing around the world. many in poverty. Alliances – Germany, Austria-Hungary, and Italy. GB, France and Russia.Assassinations of Archduke Franz Ferdinand lead to war between Austria – Hungary and Serbia. Germany was nicknamed the Huns. They were named that from the Huns that came and destroyed Rome long ago.The Von Schlieffen plan was a plan by Germany to end the war fast because they knew they had to fight on both sides of the country and they never did capture Paris so they technically lost. In world war two they had a similar plan and they surprisingly pulled it off. Trench warfare – they had trenches so protect them from gunfire. You would have to wear gas masks because there would be gas attacks some masks would work and some would not. If you got gas in your airway you would start coughing and internal bleeding was caused and you would slowly die.Tanks pretty much first came out in ww1 and were used in other smaller wars till now. Guns could shoot for miles and miles and were just shot not really knowing where they were going to land. Today we have GPSs so we can kinda navigate where the bullets are going.
