Today Mr. Bruns did a regular lecture mainly due to that we are running out of time before the end of the semster. So today we started WWI. He started talking about the trench war far. It was like a kind of fighting that basically you hid in a ditch. In between the ditches there was like barbed wire and it was like all flat and bare.During the war there was a lot of different kinds of gases being used and it resulted in a lot of deaths. Like some of the gases made them bleed from the inside and they would die. There were like three different kinds of powers in this war, Allied, Central, and neutral. The Central Powers were made of mostly Austria-Hungary and Germany. Germany was the main one. The Allied Powers were made of France, Great Britain, and the U.S.One of the causes of the war was nationalism and like it was really bad if you insulted another country. Another one was imperialism and it made the war a world war instead of just and European war. The European countries had like a lot of colonies all over the world. The thing that was a main reason the war started was the assassination of Archduke Fraz Ferdidiand. He was the one who was going to get the Austia-Hungary throne next. Because of that Austria-Hungary goes to war with Serbia. Then Russia stepped in to protect Serbia.In the war there were a lot of different kinds of weapons being used. They had tanks, grenades, machine guns, blimp things and airplanes. Then class was over.
