12-6-09 The July Crisis

It all started off with the assassination of Archduke Franz Ferdinand. The Austro-Hungarian goverment wanted to go after Serbia but didnt have an excuse to do so. But with the assassination now gave them a chance to wage war on them. Then Russia signed an agreement to protect Serbia if it were attacked. Also Germany had an agreement with Austria-Hungary and it said if they went to war with any country that they had there back. The French sided with Russia if it were to go to war with Germany or Austria-Hungary. Britain also had sided with Russia and France.
