Today, in class, we immediately continued watching Hotel Rwanda (which i am once again explaining), a movie about the genocide in 1994, where the Hutus wanted to wipe out the Tutsi race.We continued in an intense part where the main character had to scramble for money to pay for his Tutsi friends' lives, so to say. He gave the man a total of about 150,000 fregs (fregs?). They were returned to him and in the meantime, the dude(which i somehow do not know his name) allowed an insane amount of refugee Hutus and Tutsis stay in the hotel. The dang Hutus went around slicing all the Tutsis up, in which some american news reporters covered. Later, Americans and Europeans troops came, in which everyone thought all was well, because they assumed they were going to help in the situation. But in dramatic fashion, they left, merely evacuating people of their own kind. This is a good movie so far, and i'm curious to see how it all turns out for the diverse family.
