Today in class we kept watching Hotel Rwanda. There was a lot of extras laying on the ground. Did they really go to Africa to shoot this movie? I mean, the sets and buildings actually looked good. I thought it was kinda funny that he almost left his neighbors to dry. It wouldn't be funny if he actually did though. That would have been sad. On a Random note, Machetes cost 8$ at Walmart. I was almost to the register with one until I realized that it was not worth 8$ just to say that I have a Machete.What I was not understanding is why the Hutus geared up for a war and that the Tutsis did not. If I lived in Rwanda, i would have a whole stockpile of AKs, RPDs, RPGs, and other cheap post-Soviet Equipment. Also, why wouldn't the Main guy have a cache of weapons? He has to protect his residents doesnt he?
