Today, in class, we got on the computers and I immediately started doing my reflective blog, because we are about to watch HOTEL RWANDA(ooohh, chills). We set up vague times to take our semester test, which I hope I can own. We talked about this climate change conference that is goin on in Europe, and how Obama thinks it's a big deal, but some scientists are still skeptical about whether it being man-made or not.We continued with a brief blog discussion, where I was desperate to get the ten points. Mr. Bruns thinks that the U.S. didn't intervene during the genocide of Rwanda, because:1) They're Poor2) They were blackWhich isn't all to good for us. Mr. Bruns showed us a powerpoint that was a bit of a review from what we had already learned (defining genocide, some facts about the population of the two races, somethin' about ten belgian soldiers being killed leading to the removal of European troops).Hotel Rwanda is based on the true events. The main character paul (-insert long african last name here-) owns a 4 star hotel during the whole horrifying story.
