At the beginning of the class today we did a write to learn quiz over causes of the stock market crash and the great depression. Then he talked a little bit about website grading and other things we had to do on it like where to have our projects and blog boxs on our page then he went over the topics for the project again. He told us how the project is wortth 100 points and told us a little bit about what he had on the rubric. What he was looking for like content and organization and pictures and other stuff like that.Next we did our blog talks. First Tara talked about entertainment. Like radios which became very popoular during this time. Movies and sports also did like baseball and boxing. Some people even liked drama. blah. Then there was movies that came out during this time that actually had sound to them now instead of just being silent like they used to be.Them Emily talked about something on the radio because i couldnt really hear everything she was saying.Then Kaylee talked about a John collier guy. I couldnt understand the last name. He studied the native americans and he didnt think we were treating them right so he tried to help fix that problem for them. This is when we started treating them better.Next riley talked about the social security act which is my topic..Then Ashley talked about some movies that came out in the 1930's. Like gone with the wind. She also talked about some actors that were pretty famous during this time for their acting they did.Then austin talked about the national industrial recovery act. It helped people get better wages and increased prices because they thought it would help but it was bad for the economy because people couldnt pay that much so it made the great depression quite a bit worse.Then Kloewer talked about the federal reserve bank. Didnt say much.Then Erin talked about the migrant mother. She took pictures of people that were struggling in a certain camp that would eat things like birds that the children went out and killed. When she took the pictures back to the editor or whatever they sent a bunch of food to this area.Nate ohms talked about something and i was typing so i didnt quite get it.. I think it was something like the Francis Perkins cabinet.
