Today we talked about the causes of the stock market crash and the great depression.- over speculation during the 1920’s- overproduction of goods- buying on margin- uneven distribution of wealth in the 1920’s- massive fraud and illegal activity- Federal reserve policy- Too much barrowing from banks- Stock prices grossly inflatedWe also talked about the effects of it.- the great depression sets in- banks closed- businesses cut production- Economic contraction in the U.S. spreads to Europe
