Today we talked about our last two blogs of the semester and then we talked about our semester blog. It is going to be terrible. Then we talked about the semester test. It shouldn’t be to hard. I hope…Then we started talking about our projects. We have to talk about the 1920's and the Great Depression. It's a powerpoint presentation. My groups topic is political changes. I have chapter 12 section 1. We need three sources. The book and two others. They have to be information sources, they cant be image sources. Today was basically just a day of what we are going to be doing for the rest of the year. Then Ausin finished his presentation. His topic is Panama Canal.-The French started to build a canal. A team of engineers bought the canal. There were three divisions. It was hard to cut because you were on a mountain and because of the landslides. They cut 9 miles a day and they had to move the land away. They had problems because when they dug the dirt would just fill itself in like sand. The lock project were created by cutting into the side of a hill. The lock is that you are moving water to move the ships because the water was not level. Some lake was blown up by telegraph and that somewhat opened the canal. The canal today only allows little ships to go through. Ships are getting bigger so they cant fit through the canal. They started a project to make a third lock. Up until December 31st 1999 we had the conrol of the canal. We handed it over to Panama and they have control of it.
