After mickinly died TR became president. In 1904 russia declare war on Japan. Japan asked TR for his help for the war. They meet in Portsmouth, New Hampsire. The treaty of portsmouth that formed a peace between them and thats how he got the nobel peace prize. The treaty ened the war and gave them Mancrea which had alot of resources.The Panama Canal- Its a ship canal by panama. We wanted a canal to shorten the time to ship goods. They were trying to build one in nikeraqa. In 1902 they paased the panama canal would be in panama.
