Jingo - Is someone who really pushed for war. Like former president Teddy Roosevelt and a lot of big business owning because war would make head line news and head line news would be in the their news papers and such.The main reason we went to war with Spain was because they blew up the Maine which was a large boat.Also concentration camps in in Cuba. General Whyler did not go around butchering all these people. They died of diseases and such and he was given this name to make him look like he was a killer. A lot of people don't know that the Spanish American war was startin in The Battle of Manilla over in Spain, and they were easily defeated.America only bought Puerto Rico for 20$ million. Very cheap.Today, I got owned and didn't know what my topic was ha,. So I got a 0/30 which is going to be really sucky for my grade but oh well i will try to get it back up. I also learned just about everything i typed up there. I didn't know that America bought Puerto Rico for only 20 million dollars. Some said that we should have gotten Puerto Rico for free. We lost 385 battle deaths and about 2100 died from diseases and such. It was a minor war that lasted about three months.
