First we assigned ch 11 topics. I got major battles in WW1 that the US didn't participate in.Then we went back to the powerpoint. Taft was supposed to be a great president then he raised tariffs and took away land from conservation. Roosevelt decided to run again and ran as a third party named the Progressive Party. Because they were both republican they ensured that the republican votes would be split between two people. This allowed Wilson to win because of this split. Debs ran for the socialist party which wanted more power to go to the common people. Wilson won by a lot of the electoral votes.We learned a lot about Wilson who was a great president during WW1 and the surrounding years.
