1. What did the progressives do to help end or reduce child labor?Keatin-Owen Act, if children made something then companies couldn't trade it over different states. Children would be between 7 and 9, they could work from 12- 19 hours a day. Some companies would rather have children because they were young, had small hands, wouldn't complain, and wouldn't make labor unions. Today there's much bigger restrictions, now kids can go to school when back then the parents would say that the kid had to work to help with money so they didn't go to school.2. What did progressives do to help workers reduce the number of hours they had to work?First aimed at children and then women. Progressivies got child labor banned completly. Supreme Court decided that women couldn't work longer than 10 hours, Muller v. Oregon. Bunting v. Oregon, this court case set 10 hours for men, five to six days a week.3. What did progressives do to bring about better wages for workers? They use to be paid really bad, 14-15 hour work day a full grown man would get about $1.75 for the full day, meaning men and women would get even less. it got better as time went on.
