Today we got our chapter 10 project topics. Mine is US taking of Hawaii. Well after bruns talked about that for a while I kept reading chapter 9.While running for president, Woodrow Wilson got the support fo the NAACP by saying that he was going to help blacks. When he was in office he did nothing to help the blacks. Wilson didnt feel bad because he promised them justice. In his mind justice was segregation. The NAACP felt very betrayed. William Monroe Trotter complained that the African Americans asked the president to try and stop segregation but it only kept getting worse. Wilson got angry at Trotter and told him to stop the deligation. Because Wilson refused fo support civil rights of African Americans, the progressivism stayed the same.Today there are no signs that say "whites only". There is none of that, but I and many others still think that there is segregation going on today. Cheif Justice Warren didnt start desegregation in 1954 so it would only be desegregated in 1954. He did it so it would be here till the end of the world. During a study taked in 1933, a professor said that it may be a "historical reverse". That signs of "resegregation" are starting to happen. It's not only in African Americans, but strongly in hispanics and latinos.
