Today is Friday the 23rd of October. I am really ready for the weekend. Today, Mr. Bruns gave a talk about the performances of his students of the first quarter. One of his biggest pet peeves are people who plagerize when they do a blog. He said that he had to give about ten detentions already this year for people who copy and paste in other people's work and claim it as their own.Apparently, Mr. Bruns had a sneaking suspicion that I was copying Wikipedia or some other encyclopedia site and double checked my work. Of course, I have not been plagerizing, but he thinks my blogs sound encyclopedia-ish. I don't know if I should be honored or offended. Oh well I really don't care.Mr. Bruns gave tips on doing our daily reflective blogs. You might as well be doing your daily reflective blogs during class. This way, you can get your blog done during class, and you wont need to do them at home where you might forget what we went over and talked about.More focus needs to be put on making our blogs high quality blogs. Mr. Bruns reasonably does not want too many spelling mistakes, or terrible efforts at puncuation. He also wants us to put more effort in citing our sources. He does not want us to just put "Text Book" or "wikipedia" as our sources. Oh, and he also wants us to put our thoughts and opinions into our daily and assigned blogs.Mr. Bruns is happy with the attitude of all of his students in all of his classes. If we need to communicate with Mr. Bruns, we can come in to see him before and after school, 2nd and 6th our. Email and the ning chatroom are also means by which to contact Mr. Bruns in his native and natural enviroment. This weekend's blog assignment will be, again, a topic from a different chapter. Testing will begin on Wednesday of next week. To prepare for the test, Mr. Bruns suggests reviewing our daily reflective blogs, listen to a podcast, or ask others about a topic that we are not quite sure about. We need to focus on the key questions that Mr. Bruns has provided for us that we had to answer for our presentations. Monday we will review as a class.I guess that I really didn't learn a whole lot today. It was all pretty much just a review over the class expectations and requirements that were addressed to us at the beginning of the year. I'm going to go do my assigned blog now, so... The End

  • I meant it as a compliment. You write very well and use words that many sophomores would never use.
