Way shortened schedule today, but we did do debates. Topics today were the U.S. role in Iraq and opinions on the U.N.Republican views: We should stay in Iraq until their government is stable, then pull out. The U.N. must die. lol, not really. They believe we are better off on our own rather that grouping together with several other countries for peace.Democratic views: We should get out of Iraq asap and move into Afghanistan instead. The U.N. are our friends; they are trying to work towards a common goal of peace, a very good cause, and we should support them.Personal views: Stabilize the Iraqi government and get the heck out of there - MAYBE go to Afghanistan. I understand there is a big problem there and it should be dealt with as well. Not much of an opinion on the U.N.; I personally like doing things on my own, but teamwork is great too, so either way is fine with me, as long as we aren't the cause of a war because of our choice to either stick with the United Nations or leave it.
