Today I had to present.I thiught that i did pretty good.Chapter 8-2-Expanding public Education.-How did education change in the late 1800's and early 1900's?The main idea reforms n public education led to a rise in national literacy and the promotion of education. early education in the U.S. Most states had public schools. Most kids that went to school they left after 4 years. They didnt have enough qualified teachers to be able to teach that level. Schools made a curriculums and made it so that kids had to go to school. The teachers were strict in there punisments. THey had reading, writing, and math. If you did anying wrong you were beat. They were critized for the punisment. THe invention of kindergarden was started by women who entered the work force. She had to have her children watch which started this. African american children had fewer educated and were a little more educated than the children. In 1940 black and white children were able to go to school together. Mumm had a typeoWomen were prepared for office work. They learned to love there country very much and were able to speak fluent english. Adults had to go to night school whixh they leraned english.5931
