Continued to share newsshare topics. Started with Heather, went on down the line alphebetically. Topics so far have been about a new human species causes controversy; the unemployment rate going up; the Dow Jones going up; top richest Americans; earthquake in Indionesia; flooding in Georgia; Iran's missile firing at Russia; Iran's timetable for some big international security thing i can't remember the name of; Iran speaking of nukes, Iran admitting to nuclear facilities; half-birth is now a felany; top 20 leaders of the world meeting; a bunch of talks about stopping nuclear weapons world-wide.So, lots of bad things, and a couple good things. Doesn't sound very balanced, does it. After we talked about our news stories, we moved on to the assigned blog topics. Africa is a big highlighted area of the world where failed states are very likely to appear. Especially Somalia.....Articles discussed where the one of why nations fail and the one of Somalia's current state of anarchy. Nations often fail because of civil wars, pirates/terrorists, fighting over resources, geographical issues, disease, any national disastor, corrupted leaders, etc. We didn't quite finish talking about the second article, but we started on it.
