Today we started our presentations, Rachel went first. Her section was about Culturization and Beliefes of Native Americans. The Native Americans believed that one great spirit controlled everything. The men in their tribes would fight in battles, hunt, and make weapons and tools. Women had the job of cooking, prepairing animals for food and skinning animals. They also had to watch to kids and teach them things they will need to know. Children learned by being told stories from their grandparents. Girls just played with dolls and learned traits they would use later in life as adults. Boys were taught by their fathers to hunt, fight, and other usefull things they will use later in life.Buffalos were very useful to the Indians. They used their hide, hair, tails, and horns exc. When whites started coming into the Indians land the population went down majorly. The white men hunted the buffalo for sport. They didn't need the buffalo, they only used the hide and nothing else. Indians had their first encounter with horses when the spanish came to their lands and left their horses. They would herd and breed horses for trade.
