More debate. We talked about the death penalty. Republicans think that the death penalty is completely necessary and effective for harsher crimes. The Democrats think that if we kill those people then we're just as bad as them. I don't agree with this at all. These people killed innocent people it's not the same at all.We also talked about gay marriage, which is a pretty popular topic. The Republicans are against gay marriage. They believe in more traditional practices and cite the bible at times. The Democrats think people should be able to choose who they want to love and the government shouldn't be involved in that. Another topic was prayer in school. The Republicans think that prayer in school that is led by the students is perfectly fine. Democrats are against prayer in school. I think people shouldn't make such a big deal about it. If you want to pray it's not like you can't do it silently in your head. I like religious people that don't need a bunch of people seeing them be religious for them to feel better. If that makes any sense at all.
