Today was exciting, not only because its Zack's birthday, but also because we discussed very interesting topics in our debate; topics I feel strongly about.These topics were the Death Penalty, Gay Marriage, and prayer in school. The death penalty's support came mainly from the republican side, whilst the democrats opposed it, believing it to be cruel and injust.Gay marriage was a topic that really touched my heart, and I just had to share my support for it; not only because of my placement on the democratic side, but because of personal opinion. Obviously, republicans oppose it, wanting marriage to say true to the bible.Lastly, the democrats opposed prayer in school. They believe that any discussion of it it wrong. The republicans are more lax towards it.
