You Can't Use eBay if Your Deaf?

This article on CNN shows a woman being denied to sell her collectible comic books, baseball cards, and other items on eBay because she's deaf! It's not fair to deny people with disabilities from using websites available to everyone just because they can't verify themselves over the phone. Judges have dismissed this case and court and have done nothing to help this woman. She's being treated unfairly because of her disadvantages. What do you think about it?

  • Even before I read the article I looked at the title and was like, "what?!?" Ok this is just plain stupid. Being denied because you can't hear?  I think Ebay should set up a voice-to-text system for people with disabilites. They deserve the same oppurtunites as non-disabled people. I'm glad she took a stand! And that judge going against her! I think it is ridiculus!

  • I think she is being mistreated in many different ways. I think that the judges need to be a little more helpful. I think that anyone should have a right to sell their items on eBay. I would consider this as discrimination against her. I think that anyone should have rights to sell their belongings on the internet.
