WWI was one of the biggest wars the US has ever seen, 20 million people died in world war 1 and I'm sure a lot more were injured, and yet it only took 4 years of battle to become the the greatest war of the decade. There were a lot of specially made weapons in WWI and 2/3 of them were bayonets that was used mainly by the french and germany. Most of the french used them more for hand to hand combat, but there were some that did use it for long range shooting. The british used mortars that was used as a cannon that launched explosive shells that would land everywhere and kill thousand of people if not, more. Mortars are like bombers in the sense that they both can kill tons of people at the same time.
Questions
1 What do you think is the worst way to die in battle?
I believe the worst way to go out in battle is Getting blownup by a mortar or getting stabbed by a bayonet because you go through a lot of pain.
2 If the archduke wasn't assasinated, do you think the war woud've still eventually happened, or do you think none of the war would've happened?
I believe that it wouldn't have happened if the archduke wasn't assasinated because I believe that the assasination was the biggest cause of WWI.

I think the worst way to die in battle would be getting poisened by gas because it would slowly suffocate you and it would be a slow painful death. If the Archduke hadn't been assasinated then I don't think that WWI would have started because there were a lot of misunderstandings.
I do agree with being poison being bad, but at least you would have something to survive, but if you get blown up there's no good way to survive and if there's nothing to save you just die a very slow and painful death.
I agree that being blown up by a mortar or being stabbed by a bayonet would be an awful way to die, but I think the worst way to die would be getting gassed. I think that would be a awful and painful way to die. I think the archduke being killed was the first step to war. I don't know if it still would have happened or not.
Soffocation is an awful way to die and it would definitly hurt you but with gas masks, you wouldn't be able to die from getting gassed unless it was a flammable gas then it could be fatal. Getting gassed is a very brutal way to die and I admit that but it takes a while to die from getting gassed which would hurt, but by the time you're abou to die, you could then be saved.
I agree with what you said abou the worst way to die in WW1 would definantly me being blown up by a morter. It would be the worse because it might not kill you, it might just blow a limb off or something like that. I think that the war would have happened but it would have been agaist present day turkey and serbia.
I think that the worst way to die is by friendly fire to be honest beucase it is your side that is shooting you and they are sacrificing winning a battle by friendly fire other than killing the opposition. But i think that if you get shot with a bullet would be worse and you sit there for a wihle then die is the worst. I think that the war wouldnt have ahppened if archduke wasnt assasinated.
The worst way to die in battle would be torture by the enemy until death and yes im sure there were a lot more worst ways to die becasue there were just so many terrible things that happend in WW1. I really think that if he wasen't assasinated this war might not have been started or ever happend. I know that the war wasen't only casued becasue of this assasination but it might have created a stopping to the war.
Sure torture is bad but there's still a slim possibility of being found. Most enemies would make the torture last a very long time because they want to witness your surfering for something you either did to them personally or they just did it for business purposes both of them are possibilities.
Personally, I think that the worst way to die in battle would be getting stabbed by a sharp weapon because it would result in a slow and painful death. Also, if the archduke was not assassinated, I think there is a good chance that WWI would not have occurred because this event is what sparked the involvement of a major power.
Indeed, but if you get stabbed you can get it removed and there's a chance you would survive, it would leave a big scar, but the wound would eventually heal and you could survive.
