U.S. officials are monitoring 110 people IN THE U.S. for the coronavirus, including the five patients who contracted the infection. The disease has killed 81 people in China and made more than 2,800 people in the world infected, spreading and the risk to the U.s. is considerably low, as said by Dr. Nancy Messonnier.“We understand that many people in the United States are worried about this virus and how it will affect Americans,” Nancy said. “Every day we learn more, every day we assess to see if our guidance or our response can be improved.” The number of people whom are suspected of having the virus in the U.S. is about 63. The CDC says 32 people have tested negative for the virus. “While that number is 110, we are certainly prioritizing based on [patients under investigation] that might be at higher risk,” Messonnier said. The CDC confirmed on Sunday a 5th U.S. case of the virus ,someone in Maricopa County, Arizona, who traveled to Wuhan, China. The Story
Do you think closing the border to china would help the current situation?
How far do you think the virus would spread?

This has been plagiarized Joseph. Be sure to always summarize things in your own words.
If the virus is already outside of China, then closing the border may not help all that much. If the borders get closed, then the virus could grow inside China if it doesn't get a cure and lots of people inside China (people of all nationalities), would die. I think it depends on how quick a cure can be found. As for its spread, I think it would very well spread to most parts of the world.
Yes, I think closing the border of China will help the diseases from spreading. China and Japan are both very dirty countries. Most people in Japan and China wear masks over their mouth so they don’t get sick. Now that there’s a disease spreading, it’s even worse and causing death. Because of this, I think It could spread around the whole world in just a little amount of time. It just depends on how long it takes to cure it.
Closing the border to china might help, because then it is moslty quarentining the virus. I don't think it would completely stop the virus from coming to the US if we close the border though. I think the virus may get most a asia and a little bit of Europe, North/South America, and Africa.
It seems like they are doing all they can to keep the virus contained. But before you even know you have it you have probably already infected a group of people. And closing the border to china will definatly help from spreading to other countries. If it isn't contained well the virus could be devastating. Currently we have no clue how much the corona virus has spread to the U.S. so it is really hard to contain it and kill the virus.
Closing the border to China might help at this point, but there is no way to tell how much of the virus has already been brought over to the U.S.. I think that the virus could spread worldwide, because with the amount of travel these days it would only take a couple of people with the diseases to spread it around the world.
I think that until the virus is gone I think the border should stay up for everyones protection. If the border was taken down and the flights/transportaion were back up and running it would spread everywhere and be uncontrollable.
No, because The virus can still spread from other countries who have it. Closing the border between China and the United States will just knock one country off of the list.It would only block out a portion of the viruses sources. I didn’t really understand how to answer the questions for this one, so sorry if this is a bad comment.
Well if Plague Inc has taught me anything, its that this virus is going to spread everywhere and eradicate all humanity. Alright jokes aside, if we are comparing this to Plague Inc, this virus is playing on hard. I do believe closing China's border would help the virus from spreading, for a while at least. After maybe a few years the virus may kill tons of people and others will try to flee, not knowing they are previously infected. I would say at most this virus will stay in colder places, so mostly Europe and northern Asia, but chances are that none of this will ever happen.
I think not accepting flights from china for the time due to the severity of the disease would be rational and could help, but I'm not sure if it's necessary considering a vaccine is being made. I think the virus will continue to spread, but in a couple of months it will essentially be cured.
