A woman won the lottery last year, and is still not convinced that it made her life better or happier.

Pros:

*The woman no longer had to work two jobs, but one...

*The woman got a whole wardrobe change...

*She bought a new house...

*No longer had to worry about financial issues for a while.

Cons:

*She receives threatening and accusing phone calls about her winning of the lottery...

*She started with $5 million, but ended up with $1.8 million dollars because of taxes...

*Her family tries to control her and her money...

*Sometimes she wishes that she had a different name and could go hide somewhere...

I, myself, am not sure that I would be exactly happy with $5 million judging from this woman's experience. Any opinions?

  • yes. just yes. but i dont know if id use it, i might just, like, hide it somewhere. and not let anyone know i had it. i'd just show up sometimes with inexplicably expensive items.....
  • I would be happy, because it's 5 million dollars... And since I'm only 15, I could understand why my parents would want to help me control the money. But I wouldn't pay any attention to anyone calling me out for winning the lottery. They're jealous. Get over it.
  • she's dumb. and of corse you win the lottery and the government is gonna take half. she needs too tell her family o go win the lottery and keep their grubby fingers off her cash. you can move and change your name derp.lawl.
  • I'd probably buy a huge property and build my own house, then put a bunch of it in the bank while I go spend a couple million.
  • i think that winning the lottery would be cool but i would probably spend it on things that i need or other things like that. or possibly invest most of it so people couldnt tell me what to do with it,
  • all the money in the world cant make me happy.. but if i did and my family and everyone was trying to tell me what to do with my money that i won.. i wouldnt be any happier than i would be if i was poor.. and being threatened wouldnt help with all the issues of MY  life i wouldnt be happy at all..

  • I think any money is good money. Even if taxes did take most of it away, $1.8 million is still a lot for most everyone. I would love to have that type of money. I don't know if it would make me completely happier, but I think it would help a lot. Then you don't have to worry about little things, like paying your bills and buying gas and groceries. Just things like that
  • I would firsy move to a third world country, so my money would be so much more then it would be here. THen i would buy a lot of stuff. Then started a worldwide franchise of ice cream bars and end up with so much money.
  • Wow. I would love to have that kind of money.
  • I think in the begining the money would be fun, but in the end i dont think it would make much a difference once the moneys gone everything would go back to normal. She would need more money so the second job would come back so the money could only make you happy for a while.
