On Sunday, August 27th, a massive bomb from World War II was defused a few days after being found in the city of Frankfurt. The bomb was discovered buried in a construction site. The movement of the bomb was a very slow process. It needed to be moved carefully for safety purposes. Frankfurt also needed to be evacuated. All 60,000 people were instructed to leave the city by 8:00 A.M. local time (1:00 A.M. CT). The defusement of the bomb took a total of 4 hours to do.
Questions:
1) What would you do to people that didn't want to leave their home and evacuate?
2) Who do you think should have to pay for the movement and deufsement of the bomb?
Answers:
I think I'd force them out of their house. Either way your'e gonna look bad. People are gonna think your'e terrible for forcing people to evacuate people but they'll also think your'e terrible for not forcing people to evacuate and for putting people's life at risk. I think that the country should have to pay for the movement and defusement of the bomb. If I was a citizen of Frankfurt, I wouldn't really want my tax money going to that. I would want it going towards schooling or paving of roads.

Good job overall Colton! Be sure to comment on three different days.
There really isn't anything I could do besides encourage them to leave the area for their own safety. I think the government should have to pay for the movement and defusement of the bomb. Our hard earned money shouldn't have to pay for that.
I agree with what your'e saying entirely. You can't really force them out their homes but you don't want citizens to die. I also agree that the government needs to pay for it because I don't want my own money being spent on the bomb.
There isn't much one can do with people who just won't evacuate. At that point, you must try to keep them as safe as possible, perhaps have extra safe food and water ready in some sort of bomb shelter. Of course, the government of Frankfurt should pay for it. Who else will?
I don't know what else you really could deal with the people who don't want to leave. Also, I think that the idea of the bomb shelter may be a waste because it probably won't be used all that often. I don't agree but I can see why you'd think that Frankfurt needs to pay for it.
I would build a bomb safety place.Who ever did the bomb I would make them pay.
I think that building a bomb shelter would be a great idea but I also don't know if it would be needed all to often. That is still a fantastic idea. I don't agree with making the country that dropped the bomb pay for it because if you were a leader of another country, I don't think you'd wanna pay that off.
1. I don't know how they do thing over there, but I feel its their right to choose whether or not they want to leave their homes, if they feel comfortable enough to stay let them.
2. The country that dropped it of course, but if they cant find out who dropped it just have the country it was in pay for it.
I agree with it being their right to leave or not. They shouldn't be forced to go but I do think they didn't have much of a choice on whether or not they can stay or leave. I don't know if making the country that dropped it pay for the whole process is logical because as a leader, I don't think you'd pay for something that happened in the past.
If they didn't want to leave their house that's their problem, because if something bad did happen and they were still alive, they couldn't get mad or say anything about people not telling them because the did try to get everyone out of their homes. If i was a citizen of the city i wouldn't really care if my tax money went towards that because you would feel a little bit better knowing that there isn't a bomb under the ground.
