UK researchers wanted to explore the effects in walking in older people 60 and up In japan . They compared there walking to walking in the city streets then compared it to walking in a park for the same amount of time. It quickly showed that people that walked in the park fared better then the people that walked in the polluted city streets. When you are walking your airways open up which causes your blood vessels to also open up. And when there is pollution in the air that can cause some problems for  your heart and repository system.

questions

  • There's an excessive amount of pollution because it's the largest populated place in the world. With that many people, the waste has to go somewhere. Having people move out of these areas would help reduce the pollution. Trying to go waste free would also help.

  • Because there is so many people so there is so much exhaust in the air to make it harder to breathe. I think to walk more and not drive, or get more efficient cars and stuff to lessen emissions.
