A 32 year old women named Valerie Gonzalez on a BlueJet flight was caught yelling and spitting on other passengers. Her reasoning for doing this is because she was seated next to a three year old. It's said that others passengers heard her say, "“I'm not sitting next to a f------ 3-year-old. I've been drinking all day." After this she seemed to be on a FaceTime with someone. During this FaceTime is when she is seen spitting at others for recording her behavior. These videos were posted on Twitter where they gained many views. Throughout the enter incident she is heard stating that she didn't do anything wrong. Soon after when she tried to leave the plane with all her stuff she hit an employe in the head for trying to stop her. She was arrested later in the airport and charged with battery.

As a passenger would you try to do something about her actions or leave it to the employes?

I would leave it to the employes because I feel like if I would get involved it would just make the situation worse. The employes would know how to be more professional about it anyway.

Do you think it is appropriate to be drunk on a plane?

I think it is fine as long as you aren't bothering others or to the point where you are throwing up and passing out.

  • Good job Anna! Be sure to reply on three different days instead of just two.

  • I would leave it to the employes otherwise it would just start more drama and make things go out of control even more. I think it is fine because drinks are offered on the plane as well, but I don't think you should be so drunk that you are bothering other passengers or causing a commotion.

  • If I was a passenger I would probably leave it to the poeple who work on the plane and not try to make things worse by getting myself involved. If you arent bothering others and being responsible I dont think it's a problem to drink on a plane.

  • I would leave it to the employees so that im not mistakenly charged with a crime or something like that. After all, it is the employees jobs to calm the passengers down and take care of that business. I think it is alright aslong as no one else on the flight is bothered by you being intoxicated.

  • I would leave it to the employees also. Getting involved would probably make the situation worse. It would be best to stay out of it as best as you can. You probably shouldn't be drunk when on a plane because that could cause other problems. It could be ok if you keep to yourself and don/t bother others.

  • First I would probably laugh at how childish she was acting and then let the employee do there job because how would I even help the situation out. I think it is because everybody is in such close quarters that they don't want to deal with them.

  • If I were a passenger on the plan when this happened, I would not intervene or get involved. There are employees and people trained to deal with this and I would let them do their job. I don't have an opinion about being drunk on a plane, but this woman let her emotions get the best of her and acted out significantly. I think that her actions are inappropriate.

    • I agree but sometimes these people may have never had to deal with this sort of situation before and they might let it get out of hand like anyone else would. I feel like not every employe would be good with dealing with this sort of thing and might need some help sometimes.

  • I would leave it to the employees because they are probably trained on how to handle these situations. However, I think that if she was getting too out of hand that someone else on the plane might try to step in. I think its fine to be drunk on a plane as long as you aren't hurting anything or anyone.

    • I agree when you say that the employes should handle it but if it's to the point where you think someone else should get involved then shouldn't you get involved? Also I think you're right when you say that it's alright to be drunk as long as you aren't hurting anyone.
