Gayle Say, a 65 year old woman accidentally bought two lottery tickets that were the exact same and ended up winning with them both. She claims that it was "the best mistake I've ever made." When she realized she had won with her first ticket, she excitedly ran into the house to tell her husband. So, you can only imagine how happy she was when she found out they had one with both tickets. The tickets added up to a total of $646,930.50. The couple claims they plan to give the money to their families to help them out, and maybe even towards a new car. To read more click here.

What would you do with the money if you were in their shoes?

If I was in their shoes, I would probably also give some of the money to my family and keep most to myself, but I would also like to donate a good amount to charites.

Would you feel guilty about winning all of this money when you didn't even mean to buy the second ticket in the first place?

Personally, I wouldn't feel guilty at all because the ticket was still bought, even though it was a mistake. I can see how someone would feel guilty if they just ended up with two tickets instead of one, but because the ticket was bought, I wouldn't feel guilty.

  • Well done Raegen!

  • If I had that kind of money I would buy myself a house and payoff my parents house, pay off any bills they have buy cars I would help out my sisters and brother and invest some. I wouldnt feel guilty no I mean I paid the money for both tickets I may not have ment to buy two buy I got two and im not going to feel bad about guilty winning on them. Now if I didnt buy two and someone else got it and won then I would be mad that I didnt buy two.

  • If I was in there shoes I would settle any previous debts I had and after that would probably try to invest it the best I could, so that it would last. As for feeling guilty there's no way. These systems are set up to take your money and nobody would care if I lost my life savings on lottery tickets. So why should I feel guilty that I actually beat the odds?

    • I like how you mentioned that you would try to invest the money the best you could because there are lots of people saying that they would by pointless things with the money, but I think that it just doesn't make sense to do that when you could be using the money for valuable things in the future, or even the present.

  • If I won that much money, I would give most of it to environmental conservation efforts, because that is something that is very important to me and the future of the entire world. And I would pay for college. I wouldn't feel guilty about winning two tickets because in the end, I would give it to conservation efforts.

  • If I was in their shoes I would put it in a savings account and use it only when necessary, and maybe every once in awhile I would go out buy something nice. I agree with you, I don't think I would feel guilty ending up with all this money. She didn't mean to buy two tickets, it was an accident so I don't think I would feel guilty.

    • I would also put the money in a savings account, but I wouldn't keep it all to myself because I feel like there are people that have helped me out in life and deserve some of the money. I would even like to donate at least some of the money to a charity because the people there need it more than I do.

  • if i where in there shoes i woul same money and put in the bank for emergence money and i would give some to myboyfrind and my mom becouse they deserve it i would be some for me to buy what i wanted and then i would help my mom pay bills and get my baby newphu paw poratil stuff

i dont think i would fell guilty becouse it was bought if it was not bought then yes i would

  • I would most likely give the money to my family and maybe a charity and just keep a little of it for myself.  I wouldn't feel guilty because it was a mistake but I wouldn't feel guilty because I was the one who bought the ticket because So I should get the money from the tickets

  • If I were in the lottery winner's shoes, I would probably put the money in a bank account and save it for later when I decided what it would best go towards. Of course I'm sure I would buy a few things that I really wanted, but then I would save it for down the road when I might need it the most. Not at all would I feel guilty about buying the second ticket and winning again with it. There should be no guilt here because the ticket was still bought, and even if you did feel guilty for having the money, you can always donate it.
