In recent news a student in West Virginia was arrested at school for wearing a shirt that said protect your rights with a hunting rifle and the NRA logo. The 14 year old kid was stopped by a teacher during lunch and was asked to remove the shirt. When the student refused the teacher raised his voice and eventually the police were called. When they arrived they told the kid he would be arrested, when he heard that he held out his hands and said “fine.” As he was led out the rest of the kids watching stood up on tables and cheered for him.
I think that what this kid did was fine and don’t get why he would be arrested. (If you read this type your favorite letter at the end.)

We all have rights to wear what we want
That's really dumb he got arrested! Maybe he shouldn't wear a shirt like that to school but everyone's entitled to their own opinion.. I think it was really unnecessary to call the police.
There is nothing wrong with the shirt other than guns aren't very school appropriate. This is too far for the government to go. He has his rights to wear what he wants. I agree that there doesn't need to be anymore gun control laws either.
He has the right to wear whatever he wants. Being arrested for standing up for what you believe in? What a stupid reason to be arrested.
they went a little extreme here, but i'm glad he and the other students stood up for him
Wow i dont think he should have been arrested i think he should have been warned maybe and then taken to the office or asked to leave school. And the cops should have just talked to him other than arresting him in front of everybody. But the kid at least stood up for what he believed in!!

That may be the dumbest thing that I have ever heard!!!! It's just a shirt, for crying out loud.
Well I can see why the teacher would ask because that is a sensitive subject, but I still think the kid has the right to wear it. I mean he is standing up for what he believes in and thats what we are taught right?
