The United Nations released a report stating that they believe that the population will reach 7 billion on Monday October 31. This is different from the US Census Bureau's prediction of 7 billion on March 12, 2012. Read the whole story and say what you think.

Yes i beleive it just went to 7 billion about 2 hours ago because we overcame diseases and we have better medicines.
It is now Monday, and there is 7 million people on the planet. It did happen regardles to what the U.S census said. We have reached 7 million today. That is a lot of people.
Once again the US is wrong, no surprise that the US gets things wrong.

I think it's pretty nuts that there's almost 7 billion people around us. I want to meet everyone. That'd be awesome. I don't think they'll reach it today, though. Hopefully the world doesn't get over populated...
Its possible for us to reach that. It is also possible that the UN could be wrong and the US Census Bureau could be right also.
That depends, because who is really keeping count of our population.. What if there will be more dealths?

It is very possible that this could happen, but it could change again within minutes if one or more people die shortly after. I think that this is a really cool milestones in our lifetimes.
