Roughly 1000 registered American voters voted in a survey last week on this topic: Will tablets eventually replace laptops? 46% of voters said yes. What's your opinion?
If you're like me and mostly use a computer for gaming, tablets will NEVER replace laptops, nor desktops for that matter. A tablet is just far too small to be able to run certain programs with enough power to support them. Most games can't be run on the average laptop without an enormous amount of lag occurring. Also, the desktop is the most powerful and rarely overheats; it's downfall being stationary.
Until tablets become as powerful as/more powerful than laptops and desktops, they will never completely replace anything.
I think many people will perfer tablets instead of laptops because they are easier to travel with. However I don't think tablets will replace laptops because a lot of people perfer laptops.
I don't think so. Tablets are really great but when it comes to typing things up and stuff like that, laptops are much more simplier to use. Tablets are both wonderful to use but for different reason so I think they will both continue to be used a lot. I don't think either of them will replace the other.
I think yes, becasue you can basically do everthing a loptop can and it is more portable. Tablets are pretty awesome. The only thing i dont like about them is that they are so dependent on laptops, for example the ipad. Also the ipad doesn't have java script whic is almost essential to have.
Right now I don't think they will take the place of laptops because they aren't completely compatable with them and typing on them are not very fun at all because you can't actually feel the buttons you are just touching a flat screen. Also people don't think they are very derable because the screen is unprotected without a case.
