Last year the MLB didn't allow fans at their games until the world series and only 11,500 people were allowed to go to the game because of covid. This baseball season the MLB commissioner is planning to allow fans to go to the games as long as the public health officials will allow it. The MLB association is also not requiring fans to be tested before coming to the games.
Rob Manfred the MLB commisionar had said that "operating games without fans resulted in a financial strain." They estimated that around "40 percent of league's revenues are tied to fans attending."
Do you think that having fans this year is a good idea?
Do you think that the MLB should have a limited number of fans?
I personally think that this is not a great idea I think that allowing fans and not a limit of fans this year will just make the rate of covid explode more than it needs to, I think they should have a limit to the fans like last year because it would at least bring down the percentage of fans to spread the virus.

This if a fine topic choice but your summary is pretty brief overall.
I think that it is a good idea to have to allow fans to attend MLB games no matter where the game is they should be allowed to go and support their team. I do however think that they should have a limited amount of fans allowed in the stadium because that would cause an outbreak in covid if there wasn't a limit on people.
I think that fans should be able to go at their own risk and make their own decisions. It is not the government's choice to make whether or not people can do what they want. I visit my grandma when she's sick whether or not that means that I might. The freedom we have as Americans is the freedom to take risks and make dumb choices.
I think that fans should be allowed into the stadium but with a limited number of fans. Baseball is not a high end contact sport compared to others like football so the contact is limited. The MLB is loosing money because they aren't allowed to have fans, so allowing in fans would bring in some money. However, this could cause a big covid outbreak. Allowing fans would take us a step closer to being normal again and I think we need to stop living in fear of Covid.
I think that allowing fans in the stands is crazy because with the pandemic, the only thing that would be done would be to increase the cases. But on the other hand, I understand the baseball league, its greatest income comes from attending games, buying food at these games, advertising, etc., and the pandemic has annoyed all this. But we have to know that the pandemic is more important than money.
I think letting fans in is not a good idea because it could cause another outbreak and we don't need that right now. I think a limited number of fans is a great idea, and they could just up the price of tickets or something. That could make up for their loss of revenue. However I think it would be better if they let more people in than last year because sooner or later they're going to fully open back up so they could slightly increase numbers after aevery few games.
I agree they shouldn't have fans but if they do have a numberd amount of fans it would be better than a lot of fans. Bumping up the price of tickets would probably make fans not want to go and I understand it would make up for the lost revenues it would draw people more away.
I think covid has led to controversy when it comes to sporting events. Some extreme contact sports are happening when they shouldn't be and non contact sports are being canceled when they shouldn't be. However, I think fans should be allowed to go to the MLB games. Especially when highschool sporting events are allowed to have fans in the stands. I don't think its fair for college/professional teams to have no fans. Having spectators has a huge impact on the result of games. I think tickets should be given out and people should go at their own risk.
I believe that fans should be allowed into the statiums. If we can have fans at our sporting evenets the MLB can have them also. The sport is also played outside so it is much different then a sport that plays inside. I don't think fans need to be tested before entering the games, its a waste of test in my opinion.
I agree with you in the fact that we have it and I guess they could have it. It would also help the MLB get more money instead of losing it like they did last year. I do think that people should get tested because the spread wont stop and this might be a good thing to help trying to stop the spread but also help the MLB keep making money.
