Will Iron Man really exist?

After the death of an American Commando entering a raid into Afghanistan. The U.S. government has taken it upon them create a suit to help protect the first guy to enter and unmanned building. Although the Tactical Assault Light Operator Suit (TALOS) will not have the ability to fly, it will however have the power to transfer from a liquid to solid armor on command. The armor will enable better vision and communications between the attack operator and head quarters. As of now the cost of the super suit is unknown but will more than likely be pretty pricey.

My opinion: I am totally for the funding of these suits they will help protect our soldiers defending our country for peace especially now that my sister has recently joined the Airforce. Although the cost of the TALOS will be pricey we have to look on what's important a life over money.

Questions:

Would you be for or against the funding of the TALOS, why?

How will these suits help better protect the men and women fighting?

  • Well done!!

  • I think that it is cool that we could possibly have an "Iron Man" and that I would be for funding that suit. I think that it will help them in defending themselves better and I hope that the suits work.

  • I think this is a very cool idea and will be very useful. I think it could probably save lives. I don't really think people have a choice whether they pay for it or not considering the government will more than likely take money out of the taxes we pay to pay for these suits.

  • I probably would fund the creation of the making of the suits because it will hepl protect our men and woman in the later years if we can get going on the process...

  • If its going to protect our soldiers then I would definitely be for the funding of it. They will be able to see better so they will be more aware and able to move out of a dangerous situation.

  • I would be for it because it could help out the soldiers. It might be really pricey though, so they should be smart with their money.

  • I think this is a good idea, and I am for funding it because the soldiers need more protection. Their "team" members will be able to see whats going on better and be able to give them better directions.

    • I agree that the soldiers need more protection as they already give us so much by sacrificing their lives.

  • I definitely think this is very innovative and something that is worth a try. I feel like experimenting with these on a small scale first is the way to go, and then implementing more of them if they do work. I think that this would definitely help the men and women who are fighting for us, because they wouldn't only be more protected physically, but they would probably almost feel invincible, and I think that's a good thing.

    • I feel this type of programs will be a lot of trial and error but in the end will increase the safety of our soldiers.
