Widow Calls out robbers

In Clearlake, California a woman wrote a unique letter to call out the robbers who struck as she was following the ambulance that was transporting her husband who had died of a massive heart attack. The letter that she wrote was published in her hometown newspaper and now because of Facebook it has been seen as far as Australia.

Read the letter and the rest of the story here.

Do you think she reacted in a brave way? Do you think that her stuff will be returned?

  • You didn't reply to any comments!

  • Sad story because of the husband dyeing and the house being robbed, but the lady reacted better than most would.  She made the situation comical, and sometimes the best thing to do when you are down is to laugh.

  • I think this was really brave! I hope her stuff gets returned but you never know with some people.

  • i think that's truly amazing to even write the letter to them, but yet have it posted everywhere. I highly doubt that they will return anything at all.

  • I like her sense of humor even in times of mourning.

  • She's has a way with words! I think, it would still be sad that almost all of his things to remember him by are gone. It's amazing how the timing of the situation happened. I'm happy she didn't get hurt.

  • This is a very different story. I figured that she would be mad that her house was robbed. It's also nice that she was thinking of it as they took the things away so she wouldn't be reminded of her dead husband. Maybe the robbers would give her the stuff back if they heard about this, or they could just keep the stuff.

  • this is a weird story but kind of cool.

  • I think that what she did was brave. That letter was amazing! I doubt that she'll get her stuff back because if the robbers got what they wanted, why would they give it back? I think it was a good way to handle things. Using a little sarcasm never hurt anyone!

  • I think that what she did was really creative and brave.  I would be scared if this were me and wouldn't even say anything to the robbers, but I'm glad she stood up for herself and did.
