Why Oreos Are Racist

Everybody knows about the beloved oreo cookie. But some people genuinely believe that Oreos are racist. Why do people believe this? It’s because there’s more black than white. Yes, people genuinely believe oreos are racist because there’s more black than white within the cookie. Honestly, it shocks me how people genuinely thinks oreos are racist. They're just cookies. There's not many people who genuinely believe this, but there's still people who do actually believe it, and it kind of scares me. What else do these people believe?

All it is is a cookie. OREOS ARE JUST COOKIES. There’s no way a cookie can be racist. Saying an oreo is racist is like saying a coconut is racist because there’s brown on the outside and white on the inside. A cookie’s color has nothing to do with race. It’s just to make the cookie taste better. Who cares if there’s more black than white, oreos taste good. If you want your oreos to be less racist then dunk it in some milk. There you go, problem solved.

If you genuinely believe oreos are racist, then you need to rethink your life choices. An oreo is just a cookie. Nothing can be racist except people and their actions and/or words. I’m honestly not even surprised it’s people on Twitter who believe cookies are racist. I mean, come on, it’s Twitter, what else did you expect to come from it? Only people on Twitter would genuinely believe that oreos or other foods are racist. People on Twitter will believe anything they see. Or they'll attack you for just about anything. Blue scissors? That's racist towards blue people.

Do you think Oreos are racist?

What would you say to someone who genuinely believes cookies are racist?

  •  Very interesing topic and well done Michael! I do wish you would have gone into the studies you linked a bit more.

  • I think the compine did on triy to mack the oreos racits or mean about it. That is just the name the compine whanted on their product. Oreo is just a cooike not anthing racits.

  • I dont think that it is racist at all its just a color for the well known flavor "Chocalate" and the white for the cream. if anyone thinks it is racist i dont believe you should have a right to say anything. i just think that its stupid to think that everything is racist soon everything wont be able to be black or white

  • No i do not think oreos are  racist. There is no way the an oreo can be racist becaus they can not talk to be able to say anything thet is racistto anybody. pople that think oreos are racist are not right at all and they are just looking for attention by saying oreos are racist

  • No I don't think Oreo's are racist, because it's a food. Food cannot be racist, I think people are overacting, and are going insane. If you think an Oreo is racist then there is something seriously wrong with you, and you should get some help.

  • No, I don't think Oreos are racist because I don't think food can be racist because it can't speak and has done nothing to be racist. I would say if anyone thinks a cookie is racist they're physco and have serious problems to care enough to call a cookie racist.

  • No oreos are not racist and you have really been low enough to think they are is dumb in my opinion. It is literally a cookie and we dont say brown cookies are racist so oreos is just a cookie. I would say first that you are stupid if you think they are racist.

  • I don't think that oeros are racist because that is just the color of the food and it does not mean anything. You shouldn't have to think about the little things like that and you should just be able to enjoy the oreo without thinking that it is racist.

  • I personally think that the oreo brand had no intention of trying to make the oreo racist and I do not think that it is racist that the cookie is black and white. Generally the color brow or black is associated with chocolate which is the flavor of the outside of the oreo so it generally makes sense that it is that color. Also the same company makes vanila cookies so I do not think they have intentions of being racist.

  • I personally don't think that Oreos are racist because like you said they are just cookies. I would also tell someone that said oreos and or any cookie is racist that they are just wrong, becuase it is not a living thing; there for it can not be racist and they shouldn't belive everything they see or hear.
