Why isn't "funner" a word?

Okay, so, once again, I am just curious. Why isn't "funner" a word? Like, seriously... "safer" is a word, and so is "blue-er" according to Mumm... so why isn't "funner" a word?Honestly, I think that it should be a word. (:Opinions?

I think funner should be a word and also, funner sound funner to say that more fun or something like that.

ha yeah..i always make fun of ppl when they say funner..but just cuz its not in the dictionary doesnt mean you cant use it. everyone knows what you mean when you say funner

English is a difficult language. It's not a word because somewhere along the line of creating the English language someone decided that it didnt sound gramatically correct.

I always wonder this too! I always use funner. It just sounds normal to me, more fun sounds funny.
