It is said that eggs have always been associated with birth and new life. The egg is supposed to relate to Jesus Christ and his resurection or his arise. It is also said in the past that eggs were a forbidden food. Painting the eggs/food and then eating them later on resembling the end of penance and fasting. Some people made festivals around them that had no religous significance, but some people made a connection to the activities with religion. An example is the White House Easter Egg Roll where they roll eggs. People said the rolling of these eggs symbolises the stone covering the entrance to Jesus's grave being rolled away. We have connected festivities with religion for centuries, and I think it would be nice to know that.
The Candy and why is it associated with easter now? You know I think when most people think of Easter they think candy and eggs almost immediately. Easter is supposed to symbolize Jesus and his resurrection but it doesn't, does it. Candy is associated with Easter, because it's always been there. We have candy associated with it from the religion side is because it symbolizes Jesus's new life and ressurection. This is what candy represents mostly food or saying we are not hungry anymore while choosing something everyone thought was delicious. The next and last thing I want to say people might know that is associated with Easter is Easter Lillies they even got their name from Easter. Easter lillies are from Japan and spread to the U.S. somehow. Easter Lillies are known for being in churchess and means: Purity and was saying people who believed in Jesus (Christians) were pure; and it could also be known as saying that Jesus had a perfect life full of purity and this is a symbol of that.
What tradition does your family do on Easter?
Do most people know this information and if not, why?

I didn't know at all that candy symbolizes Jesus. I don't think that hardly anyone knows that candy and eggs actually relate to easter. No one really knows what easter is about besides hiding eggs in candy.
I believe that is true and that is too bad, because people don't know the true meaning of Easter. I believe that people to feel less guilty they just didn't celebrate it anymore. I know christians now don't think candy and eggs have anything to do with the ressurection of Jesus.
I didn't know that egg really has a reason to be along with easter. I thought it was just another way for companies to make more money and sell products. And I didn't know candy symbolizes Jesus. I don't think people think that eggs and candy go along with easter just like myself I had no idea.
I believe eggs strongly go along with easter, and their is good evidence to back it up. I also think that the candy has changed and Easter has also changed a lot because of companies looking to sell more. I mean bunnies? Where did they get bunnies and the holiday of Easter for Jesus have bunnies?
I think that most people do know that these things are related together because ever since they were born they were together. I don't think a lot of people may know this information because they might not have learned or been told about it.
I agree most people believe these things go together, and I also think that they don't know because they aren't told. I think people selling these things that aren't related to easter are just trying to make a profit not to share a message. Also they put a lot of stuff that has nothing to do with Jesus in their not to just make a profit, but it could also be to not be influenced by a powerful being.
I don't think a lot of people do because they don't think much of it but I think there are a handful of people who do know that these things are associated together. I think they know what easter means but they don't know why candy and eggs go together for the holiday but they know the meaning of what easter is.
I agree with that and also think that most people think that their is two seperate holidays on the same day. The things we want to convey and the things were conveying are different and making us think differently too. I believe it unkown to a lot of people.
Holidays are connected to religion in someway and always will. If that being Easter when we celebrate the death, burial, and then his ressurection, but people also put this into a holiday to have a non-religous point. I will use Easter as an example again, Easter as you said is egg hunts, candy, and bunnies. Antway you celebrate an holiday such as Easter I believe you should celebrate it that way.
I also believe that when we made this a holiday, because of the constant celebration it changed how we celebrated it. Big holidays are usually connected to religion in someway and I think some people want to change that and so they make something that is unbelievable and advertise it. Making people have interest in it, but also think it's a fairy tale.
