Many people have known Casey's as one of Iowa's most iconic brand logos for over half a century. Everybody is used to looking for the striped red and yellow barn when driving down the highway for somewhere to stop and fill up with gas or get something to eat and drink. Well, as of this last week Casey's has changed its logo to a new and more modern look. Not only did they change their logo but they also dropped the "General Store" from their name. The reasoning for dropping "General Store" from their name was that most people just refer to them as Casey's and that most people don't usually think of Casey's as a general store. When people think of Casey's they usually think more of a convenience store, gas station, or a place to get pizza.
Casey's is hoping the new logo will show the newer modern changes that Casey's is bringing to us. Casey's is hoping to bring us more in-store developments such as expanding the dispensed beverage options. I think that changing the logo to a more modern look that will represent the more modern way of how things work now is a great idea! I think that it was time for some change after having the same logo and name for so long. I'm sure that this new logo will bring a more modern feel to the gas station and that it will be very different for awhile but it will eventullay grow on us and we'll learn to like the new change and it will just be a new normal.

I agree that at first glance it doesn't seem like anything special but I think we are just used to the old logo so I think this one with grow on us. I also think that most Casey's on the inside have started to get more modern and updated so that is kind of why they were wanting a new modern logo to go with how the inside of most of their stores are now.
I do like the logo and the name. I mean in all honesty there isn't anything wrong with it. I mean it could go both ways but it has become a lot bigger. And the feel of the store is modern but its like every gas station. There's nothing about it that makes it stand out.

I really don't care as long as I can get my soda and favorite chips still. I think that it will give the store a more modern feel to it. But as long as the food and stuff doesn't change I'm ok with any of the changes to the store.
I totally agree that I just want to go in and get my favorite things! I don't think they will be getting rid of anything products or foods that they had inside the store so I don't think we will have to worry about that!
I like the new logo and how changed the name to just Caseys instead of Caseys General Store. I think it was time for a change. I agree it is more of a modern look and more appealing. Hopefully changing the logo and name will bring more options and customers.
I am also hoping that they will continue to modernize things and that it will bring more options to us customers!
I like the new logo, I think it looks more modern and appealing. I don't think a different logo will really change the overall feeling of the store. I also think it's weird because everyone is used to the old logo. I also think people will continue to think of it as "Casey's General Store" because that's normal.
I agree that it will definitely be weird for awhile seeing something new, but I also don't think many people reffered to it as "Casey's General Store" so I don't think that will be very different.
Not knowing anything about this new logo change I would have to say I don't think changing the logo of a gas station would not matter, because they are still supplying the same products and service that everyone commonly uses. It does feel very modern in most casey's and I feel like coming from Iowa casey's gas stations are commonly found they are a huge name in the gas station industry.
