Many people have known Casey's as one of Iowa's most iconic brand logos for over half a century. Everybody is used to looking for the striped red and yellow barn when driving down the highway for somewhere to stop and fill up with gas or get something to eat and drink. Well, as of this last week Casey's has changed its logo to a new and more modern look. Not only did they change their logo but they also dropped the "General Store" from their name. The reasoning for dropping "General Store" from their name was that most people just refer to them as Casey's and that most people don't usually think of Casey's as a general store. When people think of Casey's they usually think more of a convenience store, gas station, or a place to get pizza.
Casey's is hoping the new logo will show the newer modern changes that Casey's is bringing to us. Casey's is hoping to bring us more in-store developments such as expanding the dispensed beverage options. I think that changing the logo to a more modern look that will represent the more modern way of how things work now is a great idea! I think that it was time for some change after having the same logo and name for so long. I'm sure that this new logo will bring a more modern feel to the gas station and that it will be very different for awhile but it will eventullay grow on us and we'll learn to like the new change and it will just be a new normal.

I personally do not like the new logo as much as the old. I just don't understand why they would even try to chnage their logo after it has been so succesful and there is no real reason to change it. I don't think that it is going to change their business at all because its not like it changing their products or the store at all.
I agree that it doesn't really seem like there is any reason to change the logo if it was just fine how it was, but Casey's had changed a lot since they first opened and have been modernizing a lot more recently. I think that they just wanted a newer and more modern logo to go with how their store is modernizing.
I personaly don't like the new logo name as much it's just not the original one that were all used to. I don't think it will because the store is resposible for bringing is more options and I like the old feel that the old logo had to it.
I understand how you could like the older feel of the old logo and stores, but I think with today's world and everything becoming more modern that this new change will just fit in with our modernizing world.
I dont like the new name and logo cause i dont see the purpose for making the store more modern. I feel like during this pandemic we need more old normal things to keep us from feeling like everything is changing. i do think maybe itll bring more options, just that theyre uneeded.
I understand where you are coming from, but I think with today's world with everything becoming more modern that it won't see as old anymore and will feel more modern. I also understand that you don't think the new changes or adding anything is needed because everyone was just fine with how things were, but I think this will be a good change for everyone.
I dont mind the new logo I prefer the origianl one just because we all grew up with the logo being like that. However the new logo is pretty nice and doesn't look bad it could be worse. I dont think that this new logo change will make the company any better or worse .
I agree that it could be way worse so I don't think that this new one is too bad. I think that with the logo being more modern and new that the inside of the stores might become a little nicer and more modern, at least for those that haven't really updated yet.
I don't like the new logo and name, I like the old one because now the new logo just looks blank. I don't know that everyone is going to like this logo and also it may throw some people off thinking it may be a different company unless they actually know what the new logo looks like and that it is the same company.
