One of the reasons why California might not take pork from hog confinements in Iowa is because of the different regulations and standards set by each state. California has its own strict regulations regarding animal welfare and food safety. They may have specific requirements that Iowa hog confinements need to meet, which could result in California not accepting pork from there.
Another reason could be concerns about the environmental impact of hog confinements. California is known for its focus on sustainability and reducing pollution. If Iowa hog confinements don't meet California's environmental standards, they might choose not to import pork from there.
Personally, I think California should accept pork raised in Iowan hog confinements. The hog pork producers in Iowa hold very high standards of each pig being run through their hog confinements. If there are hogs with disease they are treated as soon as possible because nobody wants to lose a pig to disease, because they would be losing money if the hog died.

Good topic choice Alex! I was not aware of this. So we really don't know why California doesn't buy Iowa pork? Anyway, good overall but your summary could be a bit longer.
I think California just needs to look at the places they're getting their pork from and decide whether or not to take it. From the liitle I know about hog barns, I would say they are pretty safe to get meat from. I can't say if there should be changes to the way the pigs are raised.
I think they should accept pork raised in hog confinements from Iowa because it hurts some of the farmers who are raising hogs. I think how we do it now in hog confinements is safe and ethical. I don't think we should change anything about how we raise pigs.
I think that if the Iowan hog confinements are up to inspection, and high in standard, then I don't see why the people in California wouldn't accept it. I can see why they would be affraid of getting diseases, because California is much different than Iowa in many ways.
I agree and I think they are safe and have a good way of production.
I dont think the way we raise hogs in a confinement is safe. Becuase if that confinement catches fire its gonna kill all the animals and destory everything that was in the hog confinement and everything around it. I think the hogs should have an open confinement but an enclorsure so that no animals can get at them.
I do think that California should accept pork raised in Iowa hog confinments. I think the way Iowa raises hogs is safe and cheaper to do. I think its safer because the sow cannot lay on the pigglets once born. It isint good if the sow gets up and moves around it might accidentaly lay on the pigglets and lead to death.
I do think that california should accept the pork rasied in iowan hog confinments, but there is also probably a better way to rasie our hogs that would be benefical for the hogs and the humans consuming/selling them, I think that as the world evoles we will find that more benefical way.
I think Iowa should not accept pork raised in hog confinements, as they may use external things to treat them that are bad for us. The way we raise our hogs is not ethical as we trap them in confinements. I think we should raise pigs in open, free areas so they aren't mistreated.
I think that Califorina should because its a lot cheaper to do so and i dont see a reasen why they shouldn't . I think their views are a lot diffrent then our views or they wouldnt be doing that.
