Why Are Tennis Courts Red and Green?

So.. I was wondering this today, and I came to conclusion that I am completely clueless on this subject. Does anyone know, or atleast have a decent guess?

I think our tennis courts should be red and black honestly. that would be pretty fly. (:

Good question! Maybe they had to be dark colors, and red and green were different so they picked those. I don't know!

Well, tennis courts don't necessarily have to be green and red, but those are the only two colors that we have in this area. They are usually painted with a dark color to make the tennis ball easier to see. Also the two colors seperate what balls are in and what balls are out.

I have no idea. But maybe we could ask jeeves that question. Also, Bruns is like a tennis FREAK so im guessing that he'll know.

well...Erin.....i think they paint it red and green just to confuse you. And to draw you to the game....and why yellow and pink? that makes no sense....
