Why are professional tennis balls a neon green color?

i think it's mostly for the reason of being able to see if it's in or out easily, but i do like the color, it is pretty.

because they don't make the fuzzy material on the outside of the ball in red anymore because the the animal they used to make it out of went extinct. OPEN YOUR EYES!

yeah but trees are green!!!! the ball is red!!!! they are different colors and not the same

different colors of green! just wait! I will get a red ball and a normal tennis ball and put them in the trees and see which one you can see better! ha I win! lol

because Neon GREEN is the easiest color to see in its surroundings. Red and blue are more difficult to see when you add in the backround of the trees, sky, grass, court, fence, etc.

yeah dajsa i thought about that but why not a bright blue or better yet....a bright red. why neon green?

i dont know but i really like the color. maybe its so that they can see them better cause a black tennis ball would be harder to see.
