Which would you rather be: rich and dishonest or poor and honest? It's a question that actually takes a little bit of thinking, not one you probably could answer right off the bat. Of course, it's completely opinion-based, but there are two sides to the coin.
The people who would say rich and honest are probably the ones who have a good sense of right and wrong. Strong morals, better ethics, things like that. They would say that there are more important things in this world than money; that being good and virtuous is the most important thing you can do in your life. I think that if it came down to it, you would want to be remembered as a good person who helped and loved people rather than just another person with a considerable sum of money. Also, it's possible to live a simple, happy, and fulfilled life without having a lot of money.
Now, there are a lot of people who would view this as illogical. They'd say that in today's world, it's pretty much impossible to live a good life on next to nothing. Also, society is built on materialism and the love of items over the love of people. Most of the people who say they'd rather be poor but honest have never experienced true poverty or had to live in those kinds of conditions, so they don't really know what they'd be throwing away if they chose to be poor. Some also say that even if you're a dishonest person, money can buy some types of happiness and material items can really be enough for some people. Money, honestly, can buy a lot of things, including trust if there's enough on the table.
So it's pretty much completely up to one person's stance. Would being rich really be better, even if you had to throw away a little humanity at the end of the day? Or is it better to be morally fulfilled, even if you're barely scraping by?
Which would you rather be, rich and dishonest or poor and honest? Why?

Very interesting topic than makes on think. +5 for doing a topic than hasn't been done before and great job overall!
I would rather be rich and dishonest beacause everybody now of days are backstabbing. If you are poor you will have to dig yourself out of that whole to become rich, beacuse everything in life has to do with money.
I rather would be rich and dishonest because I cannot buy anything with honesty. It is almost impossible to life in this world without much money everything is getting more expensive and not end up on the streets either homeless or whatever.
Personally I would rather be rich and dishonest because if you are poor you have almost nothing especially with how much things cost in todays world. It is easier to start to become an honest person that it would be to become rich and it is much easier to become richer with money.
I would rather be rich and dishonest because in today's world, money is everything. If I was poor and honest then it would be really hard to get out of it. Also, I could work on the honesty part, but overcoming poverty is much harder.
If I was rich and dishonest, that would be pretty dope. Like I would have a bunch of money and be like every other buisness man out there, so I would fit the sterotype of a horrible person. But in actuality, I feel like being poor and honest would be rough, but I would withstand it. I feel like if you are kind to everybody, then your life will reap more rewards than the latter.
I think it is bad to be either one because if you are poor you are always struggling to get by but if you are rich you are struggling socially. I think overall I would like to be poor and honest because I would always have people to help me out and I would feel good about myself and what I have done.
We all would choose to be honest and poor but we all would want to be rich. I think I would honestly choose to be rich and dishonest just because being poor really would be bad and hard to get yourself out of. You can honestly change your dishonesty more then changing your poorness.
I think that to look like a good person I would say poor and honest but that's not what I would really choose. I think I would choose rich and dishonest because digging yourself out of a money hole is much harder then working on honesty.
Agreed, it would be much harder to climb your way out of poverty and into a successful role rather than working on being honest more of the time.
